THE WAIT














Why do I have to wait?
Thought we said, ‘at eight’!
Yet again you’re late,
I can’t help but wait

Why do I always wait?
When we are on date
Is it worth the wait?
Not knowing, I wait

Why can’t I hate the wait,
When you’re always late?
Could it be my fate,
That you’ll be my mate?
